Down and out, Up and In

I was down and out the last two weeks. Lots and lots of lessons learnt:

if you want to save a company:
1) Don't take too long to show the door to non-performers.
2) Watch what you say, say what you watch
3) Focus your energy on the customer
4) Find new business, even if you currently suck
5) Be careful who you hire
6) Avoid stupid costs, incur smart ones
7) Don't forget to let God into your business

more to come when i remember them. maybe i'll post my experiences for all of them. one post at a time.

I'm back!

Taking a day's leave is like taking a dip - buck naked (privately la, of course) - in a cool stream. Like putting your dead brain batteries on recharge.

Three days (1 leave, 2 weekend) of doing nothing, of frustrating the hair out of anyone who tried to call me... now that's bliss i tell you... haha!! take that!

ehmm... ok... back to work... (sigh)

Sometimes you just feel like blowing up.

Yeah. Sometimes you just do.

When work is too much to handle, when you move around like a zombie, answer questions with a grunt... and your wife's asking you "Yang, are you ok?"... Then it's probably time to move your mouse to -> Start > Shutdown > Turn off and take a friggin' break.

Dude, seriously, that's what happened to me last month... December of 2007... the month i went nuts.

Time to take a break. Now that I can... so long suckers... see you next...
